Burning Sugarcane Fields

Sugarcane fields are being burnt on a daily basis in our side of the world.

We keep a watchful eye on the burning fields as it is very ,very dry at the moment, the rainy season has not started yet, and we have lots of timber as well as animals to care about if a fire should get out of hand!!

During these days we have a constant flow of 'black rain' - the soot from the burning fields drop down like black rain and we sometimes have it far out at sea! Horrible if you want to paint, or varnish...or keep washing or floors white and clean.
